Has Sweden gone too far in digitizing its schools?

The government blames screens for declining student performance. Swedish schools are going back to textbooks.

According to Swedish Education Minister Lotta Edholm, textbooks have «advantages that no tablet can replace. no tablet can replace».

The government has decided that each child will receive one book per subject. However, there are no limits or recommendations on the use of screens.
