Catherine L'Ecuyer is interviewed by José María Sánchez Galera, professor at the University of Navarra, for El debate.

"Classic works are not works of the moment; they are works that, because of their originality and quality, have transcended the passage of time. But today there is a kind of fashion or cult toward ignorance and the easy."

Catherine L'Ecuyer is Canadian, based in Barcelona and the mother of four children. She holds a master's degree from IESE Business School, an Official European Master's Degree in Research and a PhD in Education and Psychology.

She is a researcher and author of several books and articles on the subject of education, among them Educar en la realidad (15ª ed.), on the use of new technologies in childhood and adolescence, Educar en el asombro (35ª ed.), published in eight languages and in sixty countries, and Conversaciones con mi maestra (2ª ed.), a book recently published by Espasa that deals with the origin of the different educational currents.
